Hugo Pierre Leclercq, who goes by the name Madeon, is a French DJ and record producer who began uploading tracks as a teenager in Nantes. He garnered widespread attention in 2011 with a track on YouTube called 'Pop Culture', a mash-up of 39 different songs. He released his first EP, 'The City', in 2012 followed by 'Japan Only' (2013), 'You're On' (2015) and 'Pay No Mind' (2015). His debut album 'Adventure' went to number one on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart as did 'Good Faith' in 2019. Tracks include 'The City' (2013), which reached number 14 on Billboard's Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart. 'Shelter' (2016) with Porter Robinson reached number 13 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart, 'Be Fine' (2019) hit number 18 and 'All My Friends' (2019) peaked at number six and number seven on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart. He has collaborated with several other acts including Ellie Goulding, Muse, Lady Gaga and Coldplay and released remixes of tracks by acts including The Killers, Alphabeat and Martin Solveig. He has toured internationally and appeared at music festivals such as the Ultra Music Festival, Coachella, Lollapalooza and the Electric Daisy Carnival in America. His 2020 schedule was to include appearances at venues across the United States and in Australia, the Dominican Republic, Japan, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Colombia.
