Lucy's Fur Coat was an American rock band formed in 1992 in San Diego, California, initially consisting of Mike Santos on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Tony Sanfilippo on guitar, Rob Brown on bass, Scott "Scoots" Bauer on drums, and Charlie Ware as the lead vocalist. They released their first singles "Speed Queen"/"Friend"/"Insanity" in 1993 through Red Eye Records. The band signed to Relativity Records and released their debut album Jaundice in 1994, which featured the popular track "Treasure Hands". The band toured extensively across the United States and Canada. Internal struggles led to drummer Scott "Scoots" Bauer's departure, replaced by Scott Clark, and management issues with Relativity Records resulted in a brief disbandment. In 1998, Lucy's Fur Coat reunited and released How to Survive an Air Crash on SRH Records. Santos left the band, and they continued as a four-piece, playing local clubs before disbanding again in 2000.
