L.A.X

Damilola Abdul Rasak Afolabi, known professionally as L.A.X, was born on April 10, 1993, in Lagos State, Nigeria. He is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and rapper who began his musical journey as part of the group Flyboiz during high school. In 2012, L.A.X released his first major single "Jaye", featuring Ice Prince. Following his return to Nigeria, he signed with Starboy Entertainment in August 2013, shortly after releasing "Caro" which won him the "Diaspora Artiste of The Year" at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. His debut studio album Rasaking was released on September 26, 2018. L.A.X has since released several albums including ZaZa Vibes (November 25, 2020), No Bad Vibes (April 21, 2023) and Nobody Like Zaza (April 10, 2025). Notable singles include "Zaza" (April 5, 2023), "Faster" (September 8, 2021), "Options" (February 10, 2022) and the hit "Belinda" with Olamide (November 6, 2025), ranked number 49 on Billboard's Afrobeats Songs chart.
