Lasse Havu is a Finnish pop and rock musician. He initially gained greater fame as the founder of HAVU Gaming, one of the best-known e-sports organizations in Finland. In 2024, he also made a name for himself musically with his debut single "Kantavaa maata". Born Lasse Salminen in Kuopio, Finland, he began to explore music at an early age and developed his own style, which can be described as emotional and introspective pop-rock. Lasse Havu is a solo artist and handles both the vocals and the songwriting. His musical style combines catchy melodies with thoughtful lyrics that often deal with personal experiences and reflections. His music is reminiscent of Finnish singer-songwriter pop traditions, while integrating modern influences. "Kantavaa maata", released in May 2024, is a song about loss and new beginnings and has been widely played on Finnish radio stations.
