Formed in Colorado Springs, Colorado (USA) in 2002, OneRepublic initially consisted of Ryan Tedder (vocals, keyboards, guitar, percussion), Zach Filkins (guitar, alto violin, backing vocals), Drew Brown (guitar, keyboards, percussion, backing vocals), Jerrod Bettis (drums, percussion)—replaced in 2005 by Eddie Fisher, Tim Myers (bass)—replaced in 2007 by Brent Kutzle, and Brian Willett (keyboards, drums, percussion, backing vocals, from 2012). A debut album, Dreaming Out Loud, was released in 2007 and immediately attracted attention, reaching No. 14 in the U.S. charts and No. 2 in the U.K., thanks in particular to the success of the singles "Apologize " (No. 2 in the U.S.) and "Stop and Stare" (No. 12). With 2009's Waking Up, OneRepublic continued its ascent, even if the album did slightly less well in the charts than its predecessor (No. 21). With Native (No. 4 in 2013) and Oh My My (No. 3 in 2016), the American pop-rock band are at its commercial peak, thanks in particular to hits such as "Counting Stars" (No. 2) and "Love Runs Out " (No. 15). Then, with input from rapper Logic, OneRepublic released the track "Start Again" in 2018, which was included on the soundtrack to the second season of the hit series 13 Reasons Why. Supported by the singles "Love Somebody", featuring Kygo (#88) and "Run " (#90), the album Human was released in 2021, reaching #11 in the United States. Artificial Paradise followed in 2024, reaching No. 50 in the U.S. and No. 14 in France. It contained the singles "I Ain't Worried", unveiled in 2022 and ranked #6 in the U.S., "I Don't Wanna Wait" and "I Ain't Worried" I Don't Wanna Wait", recorded with France's David Guetta, and "Fire", the official anthem of the Euro 2024 soccer tournament in Germany.
