La K’onga is an Argentine cuarteto group formed in 2003 in Villa Dolores, Córdoba, originally under names like “Fiebre Tropical” and later “La Conga” before settling on La K’onga; its core vocalists—Nelson Aguirre, Diego Granadé, and from 2013 Pablo Tamagnini—are supported by musicians on bass, guitar, percussion, keyboards and winds, giving them a full live band sound. They released their debut album Explosivos in 2003, followed by Otra vez (2003), Apasionados (2004), Un sentimiento (2005)—the latter including “La Cabaña,” their first song to earn national attention—and albums continuing through the 2000s including Nuestro tiempo (2007), 5 sentidos (2008) and Para siempre (2009). After a period of live and compilation releases, they issued Por más and Dejando huellas in 2013, followed by La K’onga en vivo (2014) and #1617 (2017). Their post-2019 resurgence featured studio albums: Culpables in 2019, El mismo aire in 2020, Universo Paralelo in 2021, and Sin Límites in 2022; the latter won them Best Cuarteto Group Album at the CIEyA awards and cemented their crossover appeal. In this period they began high-profile collaborations, including singles with Luck Ra and Ke Personajes (2022's “Ya no vuelvas (versión cuarteto)”), with Nahuel Pennisi (2024's “Por segunda vez”), Alejandro Lerner, Sergio Dalma, Rusherking, Cristián Castro, MYA, Nicki Nicole, and David Bisbal. They also performed sold‑out multi-night runs at Teatro Gran Rex, Movistar Arena and Vélez Sarsfield in Buenos Aires, and toured internationally across the United States and Europe in 2023–2024. In 2025, they released the live album En Vivo Buenos Aires, which featured contributions from Chili Fernández, DesaKTa2, Q' Lokura, Ulises Bueno, Tambo Tambo, and Vilma Palma e Vampiros.
