Walter Olmos

Walter Alberto César Olmos Gómez, born on April 21, 1982, in San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca, Argentina, was a cuarteto singer. At 16, Olmos began performing with local bands. His breakthrough came when Rodrigo Bueno discovered him and took him under his wing. Olmos' first significant release was "Por lo que yo te quiero", which became a national hit. This success led to his debut album A Pura Sangre (2000), selling 150,000 copies within weeks. His subsequent albums, From Catamarca to the World and La Locomotora, both released in 2001, further cemented his status as a rising star. Olmos' career was marked by sold-out shows across Argentina. Tragically, Olmos died on September 8, 2002, from an accidental gunshot wound at the age of 20.
