Kayef

The German rapper and pop musician Kayef was born Kai Fichtner on November 20, 1994 in Düsseldorf. The singer is often nicknamed the "German Justin Bieber" by the media. in 2009, the artist began to spread his music via social media. The track "Rap ist Therapie" gained attention in 2009 and later ended up on the self-produced album Therapie. Kayef achieved even greater fame in 2014 with the single " Nie wieder niemand", a collaboration with the German-Spanish rapper Liont. The song climbed to number 55 in the German charts. In the fall of the same year, he released his first solo album Relikte letzter Nacht, which reached number 17 in the German album charts. The EP Offline follows a year later. 2016 sees the release of the singles "Weck mich nicht auf", "Taub & blind", "Pyramiden" and "Lächeln" from the new album Chaos, which reaches number 4 in the German charts. Kayef receives the Golden Record in 2017 for his contribution to the songs "18" and "Auch wenn es vorbei ist" by Die Lochis. In 2018, Kayef releases the album Modus with the singles "Ein Jahr zu spät" and "Kartenhaus", a song with support from Prinz Pi. Kayef continues to release songs via social media. The song "Musik" becomes a summer hit. The album Struggle Is Real with the songs "Wahnsinn" and "Irgendwohin" is released in spring 2020. After a short break, the album Feelings follows in 2022, with which Kayef climbs to number 5 in the German charts. The artist achieves the same position in 2023 with the long-player Good Days & Goodbyes.
