Josienne Clarke, an English singer-songwriter born in 1982, began her music career as a duo with guitarist Ben Walker from 2009 until 2018. The duo released nine albums between 2011 to 2018 and won a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for best duo in 2017. During this time they released the album All Our Yesterdays (2016) and the EP "Such a Sky" with jazz pianist Kit Downes (2017). In addition to their collaborations, Clarke supported folk musician Richard Thompson on one of his tours. In 2019, Clarke formed a band called PicaPica. They recorded a studio album titled Together & Apart. She also released her solo record "Such a Sky" in the same year and was recognized as a rising star by the Financial Times. Clarke signed with Corduroy Punk Records to bring out more solo albums including Onliness (2023), a re-recording of some previous work, Parenthesis, I (2024), and Far from Nowhere (2025).
