House of Protection are an American alternative metal duo from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2024 by Stephen Harrison (formerly of The Chariot) and Aric Improta (known for his work with Fever 333 and Night Verses). The band's name, inspired by Massive Attack's 1994 album Protection, reflects their commitment to safeguarding their creative freedom and providing a sanctuary for unfiltered self-expression. Stephen Harrison and Aric Improta's shared history in high-energy, genre-blending bands laid the foundation for House of Protection. Seeking to reclaim artistic autonomy, they departed from Fever 333 in 2022 and, by 2024, had signed with Red Bull Records. Collaborating with producer Jordan Fish (formerly of Bring Me the Horizon) and guitarist Nick DePirro (Night Verses), they began crafting a sound that defied conventional boundaries. House of Protection's music is a fusion of hardcore, electronic rock, punk, and electronica, characterized by aggressive riffs, dynamic rhythms, and a raw, emotive delivery. Drawing inspiration from artists like The Smashing Pumpkins, The Prodigy, Alice Glass, Massive Attack, Cocteau Twins, and Sleigh Bells, the duo creates a sonic landscape that is both chaotic and cathartic.
