Holy Holy

Rock band Holy Holy was formed in 2011 when Australian musicians and songwriters Timothy Carroll and Oscar Dawson met in Sweden and began working on songs together, having previously met while teaching in Asia. They returned to their home country in 2013 and began performing live, before securing a recording contract and releasing their debut album, The Pacific, in 2014. They then brought in bassist Graham Ritchie and drummer Ryan Strathie, as well as Matt Redlich to enhance the band's live shows with his keyboard skills. With Redlich as producer, the band recorded their debut album, 2015's When the Storms Would Come, which reached #11 on the Australian Albums Chart thanks to its psychedelic blend of indie rock and country. After an extensive tour, they returned to the studio and released Paint in 2017, which reached #7 and included their best-selling single to date, True Lovers." In 2019, My Own Pool of Light reached #14 and was nominated for Best Rock Album at that year's ARIA Music Awards. In 2021, Hello My Beautiful World became the band's most important album, reaching #4. It was followed by Cellophane (2023), ranked #4 and featuring contributions from Darcie Haven, Tasman Keith, Tia Carys and Sumner. 2025 saw the release of the sixth album Sweet Bitter Sweet, featuring the single "Love You Still" and alternative versions on a second CD, including "The Aftergone", with orchestra and the Clews band.
