Middle Kids

Australian indie-rock trio Middle Kids, comprising vocalist Hannah Joy, bassist/producer Tim Joy, and drummer Harry Day, formed in Sydney in 2016. The group earned international acclaim for their debut release, "Edge of Town," which became a gold-certified Australian single in 2016, enjoying regular airtime on Elton John's Rocket Hour radio show. A self-titled EP appeared shortly after, which climbed to number 26 on the ARIA Charts, with "Never Start" becoming the band's second gold-certified hit. The band followed this with full-length debut Lost Friends, which charted at number 10, earning them the Australian Album of the Year at the 2018 J Awards. Embarking on a flurry of tour dates alongside Bloc Party, Ryan Adams, Cold War Kids, and The War On Drugs, the band released second EP, New Songs For Old Problems, and began working with Cold War Kids' longtime producer, Las Stalfors, on new material. "R U 4 Me?" was unveiled in October 2020, marking the band's first release in 18 months and the band's next album, Today We're The Greatest, followed in early 2021, landing at number 5. The trio returned in 2023 with the announcement of their new album titled Faith Crisis Pt 1, releasing the first four singles "Bootleg Firecracker," "Highlands," "Dramamine" and "Bend" at the end of the year. In February 2024, the group released their third studio album Faith Crisis Pt 1.
