Heredero

Heredero, born Feizar Mauricio Orjuela Aponte, is a trailblazer in Colombian carranga music, bringing new life to this traditional genre with his heartfelt storytelling and respect for his roots. Raised in the village of Pajarito, Macaravita, Santander, he grew up immersed in the rhythms of tiple and requinto guitars, campesino dances, and the soulful sounds of carranga, which would shape his musical path. In 2021, he launched his debut album, Camine a Ver, featuring the memorable track "Los encargos de mi mamá." Building on this momentum, Heredero released ¡Cantando un Cuento! in 2022, featuring "Tranvía," a unique fusion of carranga with norteño influences, and the popular track "Pero Te Quiero." His breakout song "Marta" soon followed, resonating deeply with audiences and reaching number 7 on the streaming trending music chart in Colombia—a remarkable feat for carranga music. Praised for its emotional impact, "Marta" marked a turning point, showing Heredero’s ability to connect with listeners on a profound level.
