Heernt was an American jazz and indie rock trio based in New York, founded by drummer Mark Guiliana. The group incorporated a variety of sounds and rhythms, utilizing instruments such as cajón, trombone, typewriter, steelpan, flute, and clarinet. Heernt's unique sound was shaped by Guiliana's innovative approach to percussion and his experience with other musical projects. Their debut album Locked in a Basement was released in 2006.
