Haste the Day, an American metalcore band from Carmel, Indiana, formed in 2001. The group initially consisted of Brennan Chaulk on guitar/vocals, Devin Chaulk on drums/vocals, and Mike Murphy on bass/vocals. They released their first EP, That They May Know You, in 2002, which included the lead single "Substance". In 2004, Haste the Day signed with Solid State Records and released their debut album, Burning Bridges. The band gained recognition with subsequent albums such as When Everything Falls (2005) and Pressure the Hinges (2007). Notable singles include "The Closest Thing To Closure" and "American Love". After several lineup changes and tours, including performances on the Vans Warped Tour and collaborations with bands like As I Lay Dying, Haste the Day disbanded in March 2011. The band reformed in 2014 and released Coward in 2015. After another inactive period, Haste the Day returned for Furnace Fest in 2023 and released âBurnâ in 2024, their first new song in nearly a decade. In 2026, they announced Dissenter, their seventh studio album and first since Coward, previewed by âShallows,â âLiminalâ featuring Silent Planet and âOblivion.â The album was released on May 1, 2026, through Solid State Records.
