Hanji Su, known professionally as Hanroro, was born on November 11, 2000, in Masan, Gyeongsangnam-do, Republic of Korea. She is a singer-songwriter who began her musical journey while studying Korean Language and Literature at Konkuk University. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she connected with the music company Authentic through social media and started vocal and MIDI lessons as a trainee. Hanroro's debut single "Let Me Love My Youth" was released in March 2022, marking her entry into the music industry. She gained recognition by reaching the finals of the EBS Hello Rookie Contest that same year. Her breakthrough came with the release of her first EP Take-off on August 29, 2023. Hanroro's work has been critically acclaimed, with "Let Me Love My Youth" nominated for Best Modern Rock Song at the 20th Korean Music Awards and the song "Home" from her second EP of the same name, released on May 28, 2024, being nominated for Best Modern Rock Song at the 22nd Korean Music Awards. The EP Jamong Salgu Club, released on August 4, 2025, reached rank 17 on Korea's Top 100 Albums chart on the week it was released.
