Glassjaw

Glassjaw, formed in 1993 in Hempstead, New York, is an American post‑hardcore group fronted by vocalist Daryl Palumbo. The band began as a local hardcore act, releasing the independent EP Kiss Kiss Bang Bang in 1997 before signing with Roadrunner Records. Their debut studio album, Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence, was issued on 9 May 2000 and established their aggressive yet melodic style. In 2002, under Warner Bros., Glassjaw released Worship and Tribute, which peaked at number 82 on the Billboard 200 and expanded their international touring footprint, including appearances on the Warped Tour and Ozzfest. After a hiatus, the band self‑released the 7" singles that formed the EP Our Color Green in 2011, followed by the free EP Coloring Book the same year. A decade later, Glassjaw returned with their third studio album, Material Control, released on 1 December 2017 through Century Media, featuring the single "Shira" and marking a critical resurgence. The group has maintained a reputation for intense live performances and has toured extensively across North America, Europe, and Australia, solidifying their place within the post‑hardcore canon.
