Giuffria

Giuffria was an American rock band from Washington, D.C., formed in 1982 by Gregg Giuffria after his departure from Angel. The classic lineup included David Glen Eisley on lead vocals, Craig Goldy on guitar, Chuck Wright on bass, and Alan Krigger on drums. In 1984, the band signed with MCA Records and released their debut album Giuffria, which peaked at number 26 on the album charts. The album featured two hit singles, "Call to the Heart" (number 15 on the Hot 100) and "Lonely in Love" (number 57 on the Hot 100). Giuffria toured extensively, including as a special guest act for Deep Purple's 1984 reformation US tour and as an opener on Foreigner's Agent Provocateur Tour. Their second album, Silk + Steel, was released in 1986 following lineup changes. The band left MCA Records in 1987. In 2015, Eisley, Goldy, and Krigger reunited for a one-off concert at Rock City, Nottingham, England. On June 10, 2025, founder Gregg Giuffria released The Unreleased Remastered Demos, consisting of nine unreleased remastered demos from the third Giuffria release plus a bonus track.
