German Montero

Germán Montero is a Mexican singer born on May 21, 1979, in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, who first earned national visibility as a lead vocalist with La Arrolladora Banda El Limón between 2003 and 2007 before launching a solo career that carried banda and norteño ballads into the streaming era. He opened his discography with the album Pensando en Ti (2007), introducing signature singles such as “¿Qué Nos Separa?” and “Amantes Escondidos,” and followed with Por Lo Imposible (2010) as he expanded touring across Mexico and the U.S. A productive mid-to-late 2010s cycle brought a cluster of releases—Me Seguirás Buscando (2015), Infiel (2017), El Cantante (2017), and the studio set Vagabundo (2019)—while stand-alone tracks like “A Través del Vaso” (2018) kept his catalog active on radio and digital platforms. In 2021, he reached broader popular audiences by winning MasterChef Celebrity México, then returned to the stage with live albums Sierreño: Por Puro Gusto (En Vivo) (2023) and Ranchero Sinaloense Desde California (En Vivo) (2023), alongside collaborations including “Maldita Perra” with Carlos Sarabia and a live popurrí with La Sonora Santanera. He maintained a steady run of singles through 2024—among them “Te Tienes Que Ir,” “La Trenzuda,” and “Ya No Volverás”—and in 2025 framed a new studio phase with the album Tiktokeando and fresh cuts such as “Simplemente Amigos,” “Si Tú No Vuelves,” and “Me Cambiaste la Vida.”
