Gawvi

Gabriel Alberto Azucena, known professionally as Gawvi, was born on September 23, 1988, in The Bronx, New York. He began his music production career in 2008, working with artists such as Lecrae and Trip Lee. His breakthrough came when he signed to Reach Records in early 2016. Gawvi released his debut extended play Lost in Hue on July 29, 2016, which topped the iTunes top-selling dance albums chart. He followed this with Holding Hue and his first studio album We Belong. His production work earned him two GMA Dove Awards: Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year for Lecrae's Anomaly in 2015 and Rap/Hip Hop Song of the Year for "Fight for Me" with Lecrae in 2019. In early 2022, Reach Records ended their professional relationship with Gawvi following a scandal. He released his fifth album ATMOSTFEAR on July 2, 2024 under the Alienz Alive label.
