F4, a Taiwanese boy band consisting of Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu, Ken Chu, and Vic Chou, was formed in 2001 following their portrayal of a fictional group in the Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden. The series, an adaptation of the Japanese shōjo manga Hana Yori Dango, propelled them to pan-Asian popularity. In 2001, F4 signed with Sony Music Taiwan and released their debut album, Meteor Rain, which included popular tracks such as "Can't Help Falling in Love" from Walt Disney's Lilo & Stitch soundtrack. The following year, they released Fantasy 4ever. From 2002 to 2003, F4 embarked on the Fantasy Live World Tour, attracting around 600,000 people across 19 shows in 12 cities. In 2007, due to copyright issues, the group changed its name to JVKV and released their third album, Waiting For You. Despite rumors of disbanding, F4 continued to perform together, including a reunion at Jiangsu TV’s ‘1001 Night Festival’ concert in 2020. In 2025, it was reported that F4 had reached an agreement to reunite for a concert tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut, which would take place in 2026.
