EXO-K

EXO-K, a sub-group of EXO, was formed in 2012 under SM Entertainment, comprising Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun. The group originated from the larger entity EXO, which debuted with two sub-units: EXO-K for Korean performances and EXO-M for Mandarin performances. EXO-K's debut EP Mama was released in April 2012, featuring notable singles "What Is Love" and "Mama". They initially gained popularity through their appearances on music shows like Inkigayo. EXO-K continued to release successful albums such as Overdose4, an EP released in May 2014. The group's activities, however, were integrated into the main EXO group starting from 2014. Despite this integration, EXO-K's members played crucial roles in the overall success of EXO, contributing to significant milestones such as the release of XOXO in 2013, which sold over a million copies and marked EXO as the first Korean artist to achieve this in twelve years. Other notable albums include Don't Mess Up My Tempo, released in 2018, which peaked at number 23 on the Billboard 200 chart. EXO-K's members were also part of various sub-units and collaborations within EXO, including EXO-CBX and EXO-SC (featuring Sehun and Chanyeol). The group was integrated into EXO in 2014.
