The group initially gained recognition as opening acts for Poison and released their debut single "Fingers On It" in 1986, which appeared in the cult film Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. Their self-titled debut album was released on August 22, 1989, under Atco Records, featuring hits like "New Thing" and "Fly High Michelle".
