Elmiene

Abdala Elamin, professionally known as Elmiene, was born in Oxford, England, in 2002 and is a British‑Sudanese singer‑songwriter specialising in soul music and R&B. Early exposure to music came through family gatherings and local church choirs, where he developed vocal and keyboard skills that would later define his sound. Elmiene’s initial breakthrough arrived with the 2021 single "Golden", which gained traction on independent streaming platforms and set the stage for his debut EP El‑Mean released on 10 March 2023. The EP’s lead track "Endless No More" was followed by the single "Mad at Fire" in June 2023, both of which charted on the UK R&B Singles Chart, establishing Elmiene as a rising talent. Chronologically, Elmiene released Marking My Time on 20 October 2023, and Light Work on 19 August 2024, each expanding his discography with introspective lyricism and polished production. The mixtape Heat the Streets launched on 5 September 2025, accompanied by the single "Useless (Without You)" on 14 August 2025, which reached the top forty of the UK Singles Chart. In March of 2026, Elmiene released the album sounds for someone, featuring the singles "Reclusive" and "Honour / I Want In," further solidifying his presence in the UK music scene. Elmiene’s career highlights include a fifth‑place finish in the BBC Sound of 2024 poll and a nomination for the 2025 Brit Award for Rising Star, underscoring his growing influence within contemporary soul and R&B.
