Dijon Duenas, known mononymously as Dijon, is an American singer, songwriter, and producer originally born in Germany on June 9, 1992, to American military parents and raised across multiple U.S. states and Germany. He first made his mark with the R&B duo Abhi//Dijon during his university years, releasing several EPs between 2012 and 2016. After relocating to Los Angeles in 2016, he transitioned into a solo career with his debut EP Sci Fi 1 in 2019, followed by How Do You Feel About Getting Married? in 2020. He also co-wrote and co-produced the Charli XCX single “Pink Diamond” and released the collaborative track “The Stranger,” featuring John C. Reilly, Tobias Jesso Jr., and Becky & the Birds. Dijon’s debut album Absolutely arrived on November 5, 2021, anchored by singles like “Many Times,” “Big Mike’s,” and “Rodeo Clown,” accompanied by a short film and television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in early 2022. He subsequently supported Bon Iver on tour and appeared on Barack Obama’s 2022 Summer playlist with “Many Times.” Subsequently, Dijon was credited as a songwriter on Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s 2024 album Vultures 1 (“Stars”), and in 2025 he featured on Bon Iver’s album Sable, fABLE (“Day One”) and contributed significantly to Justin Bieber’s album Swag, before releasing his sophomore record Baby on August 15, 2025.
