Judith Christie McAllister

Judith Christie McAllister, born Judith F. Christie on September 29, 1963 in Harlem, New York, is an American gospel singer and composer. Raised by a minister father from Jamaica and a pianist mother from Barbados, she learned to play the piano at a young age. In the mid-1980s, McAllister attended Oral Roberts University. McAllister's music career began in 1992 when she became the Music Director at West Angeles Church of God in Christ (COGIC). She released her debut album, Send Judah First, through Judah Music Records on January 30, 2001. Her subsequent albums include Raise the Praise (2003) and In His Presence: Live! (2006), which peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart. In 2011, she released Sound the Trumpet, which reached number 13 on the same chart. McAllister served as President of the International Music Department for COGIC from 2009 until 2021.
