Andreas Bang Hemmeth, born 3â¯Aprilâ¯1979 in Denmark, is a Danish DJ who adopted the stage name DJâ¯Encore and pursued a career in electronic music. He first gained attention with the 2001 single "I See Right Through to You", which earned double platinum status in Denmark and was featured as the soundtrack for the reality show Bigâ¯Brother; the track also reached the top of the charts in Britain and the United States. The success of the single led to the release of his debut album Intuition in 2001, followed by the compilation Ultra.Danceâ¯02 in 2002, and the studio album Unique on 8â¯Mayâ¯2007. During this period DJâ¯Encore collaborated with vocalist Engelina on several hits such as "Walking in the Sky" and "High on Life", and he toured extensively across Denmark, the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States and Canada, performing at major festivals including Grønâ¯Koncert. In 2008 he released the single "Falling" on 22â¯July, and the following year issued "I See Right Through To You" as a single on 14â¯Julyâ¯2009. DJâ¯Encoreâs work earned him thirteen platinum records, three gold records, and multiple awards, cementing his position within the European electronic music scene.
