Dinosaur Pile-Up is an English alternative rock band formed in late 2007 in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The group was founded by lead singer and guitarist Matt Bigland after his previous band, Mother Vulpine, dissolved. Dinosaur Pile-Up released their first EP, The Most Powerful E.P In the Universe!!, in August 2009. Their debut album, Growing Pains, was recorded solely by Bigland and released in October 2010. The band's subsequent albums include Nature Nurture (October 2013), Eleven Eleven (October 2015), Celebrity Mansions (June 2019) and I’ve Felt Better (August 2025). Notable singles include "Birds & Planes" (June 2010) and "Back Foot" (April 2019). Dinosaur Pile-Up has toured extensively, supporting acts such as Feeder, Cage the Elephant, and You Me At Six. The band's lineup has evolved over the years, with current members including Bigland, drummer Mike Sheils, and bassist Jim Cratchley.
