Deuter

German New Age musician Georg Deuter, known professionally as Deuter, was born on February 1, 1945, in Falkenhagen. He initially worked as a graphic designer and journalist in Munich before transitioning to music. Deuter's early musical training included self-taught flute and guitar skills. His breakthrough came with the release of his debut album D in 1971. Throughout the 1970s, he released several influential albums including Aum, Celebration, and Haleakala. In 1974, Deuter joined Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh Osho's Ashram, adopting the sannyas name "Swami Chaitanya Hari." This period saw him compose music for various meditation techniques developed by Osho. Notable works from this era include Kundalini Meditation Music and Ecstasy. Deuter's music often integrates elements of nature, such as his own field recordings, with traditional instruments and synthesizers. His compositions have been featured in media, including the German television series Löwenzahn, where three tracks from Cicada were used: "Cicada", "From Here to Here" and "Light".
