DALDAM is a six-member Korean band that debuted on January 23, 2020, comprising alumni of Busan University of the Arts. The group’s name, derived from leader Kim Dong-hoon’s SoundCloud nickname, symbolizes "climbing a wall while looking at the moon." DALDAM’s music blends dreamy soundscapes with intense rock influences, creating a story-like auditory experience reminiscent of cartoons, novels, and films. The band members are Kim Dong-hoon (leader), Kim Janghwan (vocalist, born January 30, 1999), Choi Yonghyun (keyboardist, born June 10, 2000), Cheon Changlae (multi-instrumentalist, born September 27, 1999), Kim Jongwoon (bassist, born September 8, 2000), and Jeong Seonggeun (drummer, born November 5, 1995). Their dynamic collaboration highlights their shared artistry and passion for exploring new sonic territories. DALDAM released their first EP, Consolation (2020), followed by Youth (2021), which further established their reputation for evocative, story-driven music. Their first full-length album, The World We Were In (2022), received widespread acclaim. In 2024, they released two EPs, The End of the World and His Journey as a Children's Book and WALL;DAM, alongside notable singles like "Graduation" (2023), "SLAM DUNK" (2023), "Blue Rock" (2024), and "Summer Thief" (2024).
