Daisy Rickman

Originally from Cornwall, Daisy Rickman was born on February 8, 1996 in the village of Mousehole, strongly influenced by Celtic traditions. An enthusiast of mysticism, she has taken up photography, painting and cinema, passions that she nurtures through her travels across Europe, from London to Venice and Berlin. In 2020, the silence of the first confinement due to the Covid-19 pandemic was the opportunity to compose her first songs, inspired by the reading of Ithell Colquhoun's The Living Stones, before recording her first self-produced album Donsya a'n Loryow(Moon Dances, in local Celtic), released on August 13, 2022. This work accomplished, Daisy Rickman began to perform on stage, sharing the stage with the London collective Broadside Hacks or at a tribute to Bert Jansch. Signed to the Weird Walk Record Cult label, she recorded a second album between Cornwall and Dorset, Howl (March 20, 2024), tinged with traditional music and psychedelia, which put her on the map and ranked No. 32 in the UK folk charts.
