Born David Anthony Burke in New York, on March 28, 2005, d4vd is a alternative pop singer-songwriter. After making his own tracks on social music platform BandLab and releasing his debut single, "Run Away," in 2021, Burke was thrust into the spotlight aged 17 thanks to the viral success of his song "Romantic Homicide," an indie-pop heartbreaker that found fame on TikTok in September 2022. The breakthrough track later rose to number 33 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was followed by "Here with Me", which peaked at number 60. Burke's debut EP, Petal to Thorns (2023), was followed by The Lost Petals. In 2024, the singer released songs as "Leave Her", "There Goes My Baby", "Feel It" for the television series Invicible, and "Where'd It Go Wrong? ". Other singles followed in 2025, including "One More Dance" and the duet "Crashing" with Kali Uchis, ahead of the Burke's debut album, Withered, ranked number 13 on Billboard 200.
