JVKE

Jacob Dodge Lawson, known professionally as JVKE, was born on 3 March 2001 in Providence, Rhode Island. He began learning piano in church and later wrote and performed songs for his school choir, developing an early interest in songwriting and production. During the COVID‑19 lockdown in 2020, Lawson launched a TikTok channel and released the single "Upside Down", which was used in more than 14 million TikTok videos, drawing the attention of artists such as Charlie Puth and Galantis. In January 2021, he announced a collaboration with Galantis on "Dandelion", which was released the same month. JVKE’s debut project, This Is What ____ Feels Like (Vol. 1‑4), dropped on 23 September 2022 and reached Number 56 on the Billboard 200. The single "Golden Hour" (15 July 2022) entered the Billboard Hot 100 at Number 71 and peaked at Number 10, while also reaching Number 19 on the UK Singles Chart. The track earned him an MTV Push Artist nomination for October 2022 and a live performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Subsequent releases include the studio album golden hour (21 April 2023), the EP the asia tour: blooming season (15 August 2025), and seasonal projects such as this is what christmas feels like (5 December 2025). In 2023, he won the iHeartRadio Music Award for Social Star, and his music continues to chart internationally, solidifying his presence in contemporary pop.
