Chris Catalyst

Real name Christopher May, multi-instrumentalist and singer Chris Catalyst was born in Beverley, England, on February 11, 1980. Involved in a wide range of projects, he mainly plays guitar, but also keyboards, bass and drums. Best known for his work with The Sisters of Mercy since 2005, Chris Catalyst has also collaborated with Ghost under the name Aether until 2022, Eureka Machines, which he founded in 2007, Ugly Kid Joe, The Wildhearts, Terrorvision, The Professionals, Mariachi El Bronx, AntiProduct, The God Damn Whores and The Scaramanga Six. Alongside his collaborations, the musician also leads his own career and has recorded the albums Life Is Often Brilliant (2017), Acoustic Machines (2020), Kaleidoscopes (2021), Waiting in the Sky in tribute to David Bowie (2022) and Mad in England (2023).
