Chocolate Starfish

Chocolate Starfish, an Australian rock band, were formed in Melbourne in 1992. The group originally comprised Norman Falvo on keyboards and vocals, Craig Harnath on bass guitar, Bruce Pawsey on drums, Zoran Romic on guitar and vocals, and Adam Thompson on vocals. Their early performances included shows under the name The Hodads at the Station Hotel. In January 1993, Chocolate Starfish released their debut EP, Seafood. Later that year, they achieved chart success with their cover of "You're So Vain", which peaked at number 11 on the ARIA Singles Chart. Their second single, "All Over Me", reached the top 40, and "Mountain" peaked at number 12 in March 1994. The band's debut album, Chocolate Starfish, was released in April 1994 and reached number two on the ARIA Albums Chart. In October 1995, their second album, Box, reached number six. Chocolate Starfish called it quits in 1998. The group reformed in 2010, but were confronted by the death of guitarist Zoran Romic from non-Hodgkin lymphoma two years later. Despite this loss, Chocolate Starfish continued to release new material, including the album Spider in December 2017 and the EP Scaled Back in December 2020. The band are also known for their tribute performances of classic albums, such as Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell in 2017 and INXS' Kick in 2018. New studio album Beautiful Addiction arrived in 2021, followed by several other singles, such as "The Candyman Blues" in 2024.
