Cassandra Jenkins, born in 1984 in New York City, is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She began her musical journey at a young age, learning to play the guitar and sing, and touring with her family band by the age of 12. Jenkins released her self-titled debut EP in April 2013, followed by her first full-length album Play Till You Win in 2017. Her second album, An Overview on Phenomenal Nature, was released in February 2021 and received critical acclaim. After a collaboration with Indian musician Suhail Yusuf Khan for the EP Chale Jaana (2022), she released My Light, My Destroyer (2024), which was given a rating of 8.0 by Pitchfork. Throughout her career, Jenkins has collaborated with notable artists such as Eleanor Friedberger, Craig Finn, Courtney Barnett, Mitski, and Andy Shauf. She has also performed at various venues including Webster Hall and Foxen Canyon. In 2025 followed the piano driven album My Light, My Massage Parlor.
