Baek Chung Kang (Korean: ë°±ì²ê°; Chinese: ç½éå), born on February 19, 1989, in Hunchun, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin, China, is a Chinese-Korean singer best known for winning the South Korean audition show Star Audition: The Great Birth (ìëí íì) in 2011. Born to a Korean-Chinese family, Baek showed early musical promise, performing in childrenâs choirs and music competitions in China. He graduated from POP Music Academy in Yanji and built his stage experience performing in local venues and contests, where he won several awards. In 2011, Baek traveled over 36 hours by train to audition for The Great Birth in Qingdao. His powerful vocals and emotional delivery captivated both judges and audiences, helping him secure first place. Following his win, he released his debut song âIt Seems Breakups Become Starsâ and contributed to the Gye Baek OST with the track âUntouchable.â Over the years, Baek expanded his discography with singles like âLook at Me,â(2011) âMissing You,â(2012) and his first mini-album All Night (2012), which topped Korean charts. His releases continued with 2nd Mini ç½ (2014), "Dot Dot Dot" (2025), and others, mostly in the K-ballad genre. Baek Chung Kang remains admired for his expressive vocals and cross-cultural career between China and Korea.
