Ashley Roberts was born in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1981. The daughter of a drummer named Pat Roberts, she showed an early aptitude for dance, a passion that prompted her to move to Los Angeles to study modern dance. She then embarked on a career as a model, appearing in commercials and music videos for artists such as Counting Crows, Jane's Addiction, Pink and Josh Groban. In 2003, Interscope Records hired her as a member of The Pussycat Dolls, an all-female dance pop and R&B group. But in 2010, she left and released several solo singles until 2013. Ashley Roberts then set about recording her debut album, Butterfly Effect. This was finally released in September 2014 (July 2015 in France), preceded by two singles, "Clockwork" and "Woman Up".
