Ann Liu Cannon, born and raised in Wiltshire, England, and now based in London, is an independent folk and pop singer-songwriter. Noticed in Camden's Spiritual Bar by producer Ethan Johns, impressed by her powerful voice, she was signed by the BMG label. After a first single released in November 2021, she recorded the five-track EP Chalk, released in August 2024 and giving a wider insight into the variety of her style, moving from acoustic to electronic. It includes the song "Papa's Gone to the Clear Sky" with Esme White and a live version of "Lord of the Dance", recorded in a church. Ann Liu Cannon opens for Beans on Toast on their UK tour, and performs at prestigious festivals such as The Great Escape and Black Deer Festival, as well as Bearded Theory on the Foolhardy Folk stage. She also toured alongside Lewis Ofman as guitarist and singer in his live band as he toured the USA, Canada, Mexico and Europe. July 2025 saw the release of her debut album Clever Rabbits, featuring her latest singles such as "Jealous God", "No You Don't", "Tangle" and the title track. The album reached No. 20 in the independent charts.
