Anaal Nathrakh

Anaal Nathrakh, a British metal band from Birmingham, England, formed in 1998. The group initially gained attention with two demo releases in 1999: Anaal Nathrakh and Total Fucking Necro. Their name is derived from a phrase spoken by Merlin in the film Excalibur. Anaal Nathrakh signed to Mordgrimm Records, releasing their debut album, The Codex Necro, in 2001. The band's second album, Domine Non Es Dignus (2004), marked a shift from black metal roots. Subsequent albums include Eschaton (2006) and Hell Is Empty All The Devils Are Here (2007). Anaal Nathrakh made their live debut in 2005, performing at notable festivals like Hellfest and Brutal Assault. They signed with Candlelight Records for In the Constellation of the Black Widow (2009) and later with Metal Blade Records for Desideratum (2014). The band's ninth album, The Whole of the Law, was released in 2016.
