Altiyan Childs

Altiyan Childs, born Altijan Juric on 10 June 1975 in Mount Isa, Queensland, is an Australian singer who rose to prominence as the winner of the second season of The X Factor Australia in 2010. After winning the competition, he signed with Sony Music Australia and released his debut single "Somewhere in the World" on 22 November 2010, which entered the ARIA Singles Chart at number 8 and the New Zealand Singles Chart at number 5. His self‑titled debut album, Altiyan Childs, followed on 10 December 2010, peaking at number 3 on the ARIA Albums Chart and earning a platinum certification from the Australian Recording Industry Association and from the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand. In 2011, he released the single "Ordinary Man". After parting ways with Sony in 2012, Altiyan Childs continued to record independently, culminating in the release of his second studio album, Born Before the Sun, on 27 September 2015 through 9LoveRecords; the album was issued mainly in digital format and featured material written over fifteen years. Throughout his career, Altiyan Childs has maintained a presence in the Australian pop‑rock scene, with chart‑successing singles and a platinum‑certified debut album marking his most significant commercial achievements.
