Zaoidi

A native of Mayotte, Zaoidi is a singer with a rich heritage, born of a Madagascan father and a mother of Yemeni origin. She grew up surrounded by the sounds of the Indian Ocean, traditional songs from Mauritania, as well as Indian and Tanzanian music, which had a profound influence on her voice and style. Inspired by classical Indian chants, she develops a powerful vocal expression, imbued with spirituality and emotion. Her music blends Swahili, Shimaoré and French, in a modern fusion with Afro-Oriental accents. In 2021, she made a name for herself with"Nimbé", a track with a vibrant video that surpassed one million views on YouTube. She then confirmed her talent with"Wawé", another high-impact song that won over a wide audience.
