Anita Mwarabu, known by her stage name Ninita, is a Congolese singer-songwriter and actress, born on October 30, 1987 in Lubumbashi. The fifth of six siblings, she grew up in a musical household, listening to Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Papa Wemba. By the age of 12, she was singing in her church choir and learning vocal harmonization. At the same time, she took part in dance competitions at school. In 2015, she made a name for herself by reaching the final of the Best Of The Best competition in Kinshasa, where she came fourth. Her first single"Éclosion", released in 2018, marks her official debut in music. She followed this up with a string of tracks, including"Lion","Faut m'appeler" and"FAYA", and released her debut album Ninita in 2023.
