Zaho de Sagazan

Zaho de Sagazan is the artist name of Zaho Mélusine Le Moniès de Sagazan, born on December 28, 1999 in Saint-Nazaire (Loire-Atlantique). Daughter of painter and sculptor Olivier de Sagazan, she discovered the piano at the age of 13, but didn't pursue a career in music at first, going on to study business administration. In 2021, she performed on her first major stage, opening for Mansfield.TYA in Paris. The following year, she performed at the Francofolies de La Rochelle and Rock en Seine festivals. She came to public attention in March 2023 with her debut album, La Symphonie des Éclairs (No. 10 in France), which followed a residency she had enjoyed a few months earlier at the Trans Musicales in Rennes. Nurtured as much by her passion for French chanson and pop as by electronic music, she offers a hybrid musical universe that won her four Victoires de la Musique awards in 2024, in the categories of original song, original album, stage revelation and female revelation. The artist, who favors the stage, meets her public again on tour, and performs at the opening of the Cannes Film Festival with a cover of David Bowie's "Modern Love", which is released as a single. In August of the same year, she sang Édith Piaf's "Sous le ciel de Paris" at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics, before the October release of an enhanced version of her album, La Symphonie des Éclairs (Le Dernier des Voyages), including the duet with Tom Odell on "Old Friend". A year later, in October 2025, a symphonic version was released, La Symphonie des Éclairs (Orchestral Odyssey), featuring the Orchestre National de Lyon conducted by Dylan Corday.
