Yung Miami is an American rapper, media personality, and former City Girls member, born Caresha Romeka Brownlee on February 11, 1994, in Miami, Florida. Raised in Opa-locka, she formed City Girls with JT in 2017, and the duo quickly became tied to Miamiâs blunt, club-ready rap style after releasing âFuck Dat Niggaâ and signing with Quality Control Music. While JT was incarcerated, Yung Miami helped keep the group visible through the 2018 mixtape Period and the album Girl Code, which included the Hot 100 hits âTwerkâ with Cardi B and âAct Up.â City Girls continued with City on Lock in 2020, featuring âJobsâ and âPussy Talkâ with Doja Cat, before scoring another viral moment with âTwerkulatorâ in 2021. That same year, Yung Miami launched her solo career with âRap Freaks,â her first solo Billboard Hot 100 entry, and appeared with Quavo on âStrub Tha Ground.â In 2022, she expanded into media with the REVOLT interview series Caresha Please, which won Best Hip Hop Platform at the BET Hip Hop Awards in 2022 and 2023. She also moved into screen work, appearing in You People, BMF, and Grown-ish in 2023, the same year City Girls released their third album, RAW. After the duo shifted toward solo careers, Yung Miami released â50/50â and âCFWMâ with Skilla Baby in 2024, appeared with JT on Camila Cabelloâs âDade County Dreaming,â and returned in 2025 with âIMA HOE TOOâ alongside DaBaby. In 2026, she continued her solo run with âNews Flash,â âTea Time,â and âSpend Dat,â which peaked at number 40 on the Billboard Hip-Hop chart.
