Yun*chi is a Japanese singer and model born on May 29, 1987. Influenced by music-loving parents, she studied piano and jazz dance from a young age. After briefly stepping away from her dream of becoming a singer, she was invited by a friend to join a music unit as a vocalist, which reignited her music career. Yun*chi made her major debut with the mini-album Yun*chi on November 14, 2012, under Nippon Crown, and the release won the Music Jacket Award 2013. She contributed vocals to works by artists like livetune even before debuting and also appeared as a fashion model. She has performed internationally in cities such as London, New York, Jakarta, and Taipei. A fan of anime and manga, Yun*chi sang theme songs for several anime series and appeared as a voice actor in Log Horizon. Her song "Wonderful Wonder World" served as the ending theme for that show’s second season. She also collaborated with voice actress Emiri Katō on "Dancing*"(2014). Known for her cheerful personality and signature asterisk symbol, she connects with fans as Yuntarista*. In 2020, she formed the band the me the me, and in 2022, celebrated her 10th anniversary with a digital best album and commemorative tour.
