Yodelice

Born Maxim Nucci on 23 February 1979 in Créteil, France, folk-pop singer-songwriter Yodelice began learning and playing music at a young age, entering the conservatory at the age of six and later studying at the Musicians' Institute in London. He kicked off his professional career at the beginning of the century, first guiding French pop group L5 towards a chart-topping hit with 2001's "Toutes les Femmes de Ta Vie" before stepping out on his own five years later with his debut French-language solo album, Maxim Nucci. His career started to gather pace three years later with the release of English-language album Tree of Life for Mercury Records, issued under his new Yodelice stage name. In 2010, his second Yodelice album, Cardioid, cracked the top ten in France and he was awarded the best new artist prize at the country's Victoires de la Musique that year. His third and fourth albums, 2013's Square Eyes and 2014's Like a Million Dreams respectively, arrived within a short space of time but he took a subsequent break from releasing solo material. He returned in 2022 with the wistful folk-pop of fifth album The Circle.
