Yeison Jiménez

Yeison Orlando Jiménez Galeano was born on 26 July 1991 in Manzanares, Caldas, Colombia, and emerged as a singer and songwriter within the local ranchera scene. His early exposure to regional sounds led him to record his first single, "Te deseo lo mejor", in 2013, which appeared on his debut album Con el Corazón (2013). In 2015 he released the album Vuelve y me Pasa, featuring the hit "Vuelve y me Pasa", and in 2017 followed with Todo de Mí, Vol. 4, which included the popular track "La Última Farra". The subsequent years saw the launch of Quinto Elemento (2021) and De Farra Con Yeison Jiménez (2022), expanding his catalog with singles such as "Que Tonto Soy" and "Hasta La Madre". His international touring schedule encompassed performances in Colombia, Ecuador, the United States, Mexico, Spain, Germany, France, and Italy, while collaborations with artists like Jhonny Rivera and Luis Alberto Posada enriched his repertoire. In 2024 he became the first Colombian popular‑music artist to sell out three consecutive dates at Bogotá’s Movistar Arena, and in 2025 he filled the Estadio El Campín alone. Yeison Orlando Jiménez Galeano passed away on 10 January 2026 in a plane crash near Paipa, Boyacá, ending a career that left a measurable imprint on contemporary Colombian music.
