Jorge Andrés Alzate Ríos, known professionally as Alzate, is a Colombian singer, pianist, and composer born on September 28, 1980, in Medellín. After a challenging period in the United States, where he worked various jobs to support himself, he returned to Colombia to pursue his passion for music. In 2015, he released his debut studio album Maldita Traición, featuring hits like "Maldita Traición," "Ni Que Fueras la Más Buena," and "Amor Verdadero," which established him in the música popular genre. His second album, De Regreso Al Dolor, came out in 2018, including tracks such as "Muy Bandida," "Mala Mujer," and "La Última Gota de Licor." In 2021, Alzate released the single "Aunque No Sea Conmigo," continuing his exploration of themes like love and heartbreak. He has also collaborated with artists like Yeison Jiménez on the song "Mi Venganza." Despite not releasing any official studio albums in the following years, Alzate returned in 2024 with collaborations with Pasabordo ("Media o Miedo"), Segundo Rosero ("Vagabundo Borracho y Loco"), and Jhonny Rivera ("Besitos Por Botellas").
