Yazmin Lacey

London-born Yazmin Lacey is a British singer whose warm, lightly veiled voice makes its mark on modern soul, nourished by jazz and hushed R&B. First noticed in the second half of the 2010s, she has developed an intimate, spontaneous style, often recorded with an aesthetic close to live performance, where you can feel the breath and closeness of the musicians. After several acclaimed EPs - notably Black Moon in 2017, When the Sun Dips 90 Degrees in 2018 and Morning Matters in 2020 - she confirms her talent with the album Voice Notes (2023), an introspective record blending hushed grooves, organic instrumentation and whispered confidences. In 2024, she lends her voice to the jazz group Ezra Collective, before working on her second album Teal Dreams (2025).
